Hey guys. I really want to attempt an experiment using both versions of how “they” calculate input vs what I think. Here’s a debate with a guy who claims to do this for a living.
In summary, uses the known input 1360 to derive the output 239. Then, use the output as the new input and claim:

Can’t this be done with just a lamp and a spinning globe without dividing the w/m2 from the lamp by 4 and just measuring the radiative output? Make the calculation on paper and then just check it?

You should link my livestream lecture, as it shows the way to do it which is much like how that webpage does it, but then I don’t make the mistake of assuming that the resultant temperature should be the ground-surface temperature.
The derivation for the effective temperature (they do not use this term, but they should) is all fine, and is exactly what I show in my diagrams and lecture, etc. However, their error comes in when they then associate that temperature to the ground-surface temperature, instead of the average temperature, because the adiabatic effect requires that the near-surface air temperature be higher than the average. They also of course fail to mention the adiabatic effect at all, which as I said, requires that the surface temperature be warmer than the average, and instead they ascribe the difference to a “greenhouse effect”. This is all covered in my livestream lecture.
And yes, they ARE using the output for the input. 239 is the output, not the input. The system simply cannot be modelled in as simple of way as they attempt. Post my spherical model.

But then in that diagram above, they use the output for the input (239 W/m^2 – that’s the output).
One simply cannot capture the ontological physical system with a flat plane model with solar input spread over the entire surface area of the Earth.

The “ambient” above T of that object will always emit E to that object. Again, the argument is the same for macro or micro the terminology may be different but the basics are the same.

I have never managed to change someone’s mind on the alarmist model if they were familiar with it and the alarmist explanation beforehand, as far as I know.
