But what they’re referring to is more advanced and works differently though. I’ve seen these devices discussed for 10-15 years now, and I’ve followed teams of engineers who got together who built them and with “plans” to provide limitless free energy to Africa, etc. I watched these projects go from scratch right to building the device to spec…and then….and then…and then…
And then nothing. I watched several of these projects suddenly vanish and stop producing any more content. No…it’s not because the “men in black” got to them. It’s because they didn’t produce harvestable energy/work. In fact there’s lots of YouTube videos out there now showing how to build them…it’s easy. The video titles are always something like “free energy magnetic generator” or some such.
Sure…you can design a magnetic-induction back-emf device to propel something. But any energy that you get out of it is at the cost of the magnetic field strength diminishing of the magnets. So they just wind down after a while.
Basically the claim was that magnets could produce “free energy” because nowadays we have the Neodymium “permanent magnets”. They’re just called “permanent”, not actually literally permanent. But people took the “permanent” part of the marketing phrase literally and then thought that if a magnet can be permanent, then it can permanently provide energy with one of these induction/back-emf schemes. But of course, the magnet is not actually permanent.
Anyway the devices are so trivial to build that any number of thousands of engineers or YouTube people could be trivially demonstrating free energy devices and thousands of people could be selling them to hook into your house panel, etc.
Just ask them for an actually demonstrated functioning model that people are actually literally using for permanent free energy. Or…don’t ask them because they’ll just lie about having one.

Decent job. Though I think I was so excited to battle I tended to overly dominate the other fellows voice. Joe, well done! It is incredible how anyone can claim a cooler atmosphere adds HEAT to a warmer surface! Schroeder’s textbook says it best. Temperature, heat, and energy are closely related subjects and students difficulty is confusing one for the other (paraphrasing there). Even a novice like myself can grasp that.
